With fantasy football, projections are everywhere. There are countless experts and experts trying to hawk picks for money, internet fame, or both. However, most sites don’t evaluate their projections on a regular basis, or keep historical projections up for prospective customers to evaluate. Thats where I come in.

Like many others, part of my enjoyment of football season is through fantasy football, specifically daily fantasy (like DraftKings or Fanduel is you re unfamiliar). Obviously, I want to apply my analytic skillset to give me an edge, and there’s lot of great packages in R that make that easier to do.
Tf-idf can be an interesting way to extract keywords from text. In this post I use tidytext’s implementation to extract keywords from ETF descriptions.
How can you predict that a movie will do well? Movie studios can only produce so many at a time, and, like any business, they want to maximize their investment at every turn. Many filmmakers put their entire life into a film, hoping that a studio will make a bet on it. One such example is the Reign of Judges Movie that’s currently filming a concept short, with the hopes of being picked up for a full feature.
